Fiber proof testers are made to use a set load to a fusion-spliced optical Fiber in order to check the strength of the spliced Fiber. Our Fiber proof testers can be purchased in each linear and rotary styles, for evidence and stress testing. Fiber evidence testers are available for single setting, multimode, and polarization-sustaining materials. Pick from dedicated, standalone techniques or Optical Fiber Coloring Machine which are also competent at stripping, cleaning, cleaving, splicing, or recoating.
Fiber Recoaters with Evidence Testers offer simple, incorporated methods to recoat and test fusion-spliced fibers. The Fiber recoating process restores the buffer coating to some stripped Fiber, providing more flexibility compared to a heat-reduce protection sleeve, allowing it to be handled and coiled with no damage to the combination-spliced area. The integrated linear or rotary proof tester enables users to instantly test a recoated Fiber with a pre-determined load and find out the long-phrase reliability of the Fiber. Because of their capacity to recover a combination-spliced Fiber to near original condition, these techniques are best for programs including undersea optical Fiber cables, submarine interaction wiring, Fiber lasers, or Distributed Bragg Reflector (DBR) lasers.
The process starts with the fusion-spliced portion of Fiber being positioned in the center of the mold set up (see picture towards the right). Once set constantly in place, inserts within the Fiber obstructs secure the spliced Fiber set up. Recoat materials is pumped in to the cavity and then Ultra violet-treated. The recoated Fiber can then be analyzed by pulling onto it as much as a pre-decided weight.
Recoater and Mold Assembly Options – Recoaters are available with either an automatic or manual mold assembly. The automated mold set up functions pneumatic control of the mold dishes and it is enhanced for top-volume Sheathing Line. Handbook mold assemblies, on the other hand, use hinged mold plates that provide more versatility and are best for low-volume manufacturing or R&D programs. A computerized or manual volumetric dispensing pump and shot product is utilized to inject the recoat materials into the mold cavity.
The PTR208 automated recoater comes standard having a mold set up for Ø430 µm coated materials; For the handbook recoaters (Item #s PTR206, PTR206B, PTR307, and PTR307B), the mold assembly comes individually to ensure that customers can pick the right mold covering size for his or her program. Custom mold coating dimensions can be found up to Ø900 µm. Pre-setting up the mold set up in the manufacturer can also be available. Get in touch with Tech Assistance for more information on custom molds or manufacturer assembly.
We offer both higher-index (Product # AB950200) and reduced-directory (Item # PC373) recoat materials to use in these recoaters. Recoaters with handbook shot pumping systems (Item #s PTR206B and PTR307B) are appropriate for each varieties of recoat materials; other recoaters are appropriate for the high-directory material only. Our handbook recoaters having an automated injection program (Item #s PTR206 and PTR307) can be customized to work with the reduced- and high-directory recoat materials; make sure you get in touch with Technology Support to learn more.
Proof Tester Options – The PTR206, PTR206B, and PTR208 Fiber Recoaters come with an integrated linear evidence tester, that can take the Fiber up to and including predetermined load (20 N) then produces it. The linear proof tester uses the same Fiber holding obstructs since the recoater and thus the Fiber fails to need to be moved before testing. The PTR307 and PTR307B Fiber Recoaters come with a built-in rotary evidence tester, which can carry out both evidence and stress assessments (?89 N). One set of proof check grips is provided; replacement evidence check grips are available below in packs of 10. Every testing process is fully automated using the provided handset or tablet pc control, allowing the user to select parameters such fdrofe the burden, the rate at which the load is used, and the hold time.
Inserts for Fiber Keeping Blocks – In addition to the previously mentioned, we provide a number of Yarn Binder for use in the Fiber holding blocks from the recoaters in order to support a broad range of Fiber covering diameters. For recoaters with a rotary proof tester, the inserts are suitable for Fiber covering diameters in a range from 125 µm to 900 µm. For recoaters with a linear proof tester, the inserts cover a range for Fiber coatings from Ø250 µm to Ø900 µm.
